Our Story
Tembo Wild was born from a deep love for Africa and the transformative power of travel. Our founder, Paul Chege, experienced a defining moment in Amboseli National Park as he watched a group of elephants gracefully cross the plains with Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop.
This breathtaking scene inspired Paul to leave his 20-year corporate career to share the beauty and warmth of Africa with travelers worldwide. Our company was named Tembo Wild after the elephant, or ‘tembo’ in Swahili, as a tribute to these majestic creatures and that transformative, life-changing moment.

Founder & CEO
Paul is the Founder and CEO of Tembo Wild, a travel company born from his profound love for Africa and belief in the transformative power of travel. After a defining moment in Amboseli National Park while watching a herd of elephants move gracefully across the plains with Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance, he made the bold decision to leave behind a successful 25-year corporate career to follow his passion.
Driven by a desire to share the beauty, culture, and soul of Africa with the world, Paul founded Tembo Wild as a tribute to that life-changing moment and the elephant-tembo in Swahili - which symbolizes strength, grace, and deep connection to the land. Under his leadership, Tembo Wild is committed to creating authentic, meaningful travel experiences that celebrate Africa’s landscapes, wildlife, and people.

Jamie Rose
Business Development Manager
Jamie is the Business Development Manager at Tembo Wild, bringing a wealth of experience from her diverse background in the travel industry. Prior to this role, she worked as a travel designer for a prestigious 5-star DMC, served as an independent contractor for an award-winning travel agency, and owned her own agency that specialized in group travel.
With a Bachelor’s degree in history, Jamie combines academic insight with hands-on industry expertise. She weaves her passion for education and travel together, believing both are key to building a better world.
Jamie focuses on developing relationships that support meaningful and impactful travel ventures. Known for her professionalism, creativity, and approachable style, she is dedicated to fostering connections that enable travel partners to offer truly transformative journeys.

Malin Chimoyi
Account Executive
Malin is a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive with a strong background in sales, client relationship management, and strategic communication. She plays a key role in managing accounts, aligning client needs with service delivery, and ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Known for a proactive approach and strong interpersonal skills, Malin excels in nurturing long-term partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions that drive client satisfaction and business success. Margaret Wairimu
Tour Consultant
Margaret is a passionate and results-driven Tour Consultant known for her attention to detail and client-first approach. She successfully handles complex bookings, streamlining operational logistics, and building strong partnerships with trusted suppliers to ensure seamless travel experiences for both local and international travelers.
Margaret holds a Master’s degree in Tourism Management and brings a strong foundation in tourism development and project management. Rispa is a multilingual and customer-focused travel professional with a degree in Travel and Tour Operations Management. She brings her expertise in itinerary planning, market research, and client service to create exceptional travel experiences across Africa.
Her background includes prior roles notably at a Museum, where she contributed to cultural preservation and environmental initiatives. Fluent in English, Kiswahili, and Chinese, Rispa is passionate about sustainable tourism and making meaningful connections through travel.

Henry is a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with over nine years of progressive experience in financial management, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
A Certified Accountant, Henry has a proven track record in overseeing end-to-end accounting operations, budget forecasting, payroll management and audit preparation. His work often involves navigating complex contracts, incentive structures, and compliance requirements.
